About Casas das Riberias
The parish of Ribeiras is one of the most beautiful on the island of Pico. Its slope looks like a huge carpet in shades of green and the seafront is ornamented with white houses. The slope is traced by 32 caves and streams, which gave the name to the parish, with Santa Bárbara and Moinhos being the most notorious, having contributed to the activity of grain milling.

The tranquility felt after arriving in Santa Cruz das Ribeiras, maintained during the stay in communion with the people constitutes the stickiness that does not let us turn our backs for long periods of time. Whoever comes once will always come back! The daily stress of each one quickly disappears after the arrival, only feeling again as the departure approaches.
