How to get?

Pico Island is served by a regional road that goes around the entire seafront. Whether you arrive by air directly to Pico, landing at Madalena Airport, or by sea by boat from the port of Horta, arriving at the island via the port of S. Roque / Madalena, you should always head towards Lages do Pico.

When you arrive at this beautiful whaling village, you must go around it keeping on the regional road, enjoying the enchanting view that the bay offers us, with Castelete on one side, the majestic Pico on the opposite side and the houses in the center of the village. Of these, the Church stands out in memory of Nossa Senhora de Lurdes, patron saint of the Whalers.

Leaving Vila das Lajes on the right, you will head towards Ribeiras, then find Lugar das Terras. Here, a short stop is recommended to enjoy the spectacular view of the Ribeiras bay from its viewpoint. You should continue on the regional road until you find, on your right, the Santa Cruz das Ribeiras branch where you should descend until you find the port of this beautiful fishing village.

When you reach the port, with the pier on your left, you should go straight past the pool on your left and you will find Casas das Ribeiras on your right. This set of 3 houses, Bicuda, Abrótea and Veja are in front of the magnificent Ribeiras bay and 2 saltwater pools
